George Noble came to Rushden in the mid 1890s, with his wife Louisa. He was born at Kimbolton and traded as an ironmonger at 23 Church Street, where two daughters were born by 1901.

After WWI they had moved next door to 21 Church Street, and they continued there until George Died in 1934.

Louisa continued to live there, but changed the business - she traded as a china dealer.
