A meeting of the creditors of Mr. Edward Mitchell, builder and contractor, Rushden and Irchester, was held on Monday afternoon at the offices of Messrs. Morgan and Duke, solicitors, Wellingborough. Mr. Moore, representing Messrs. Ellis and Everard, Wellingborough, presided, and creditors to the amount of over £1,000 were represented. it was decided that Mr. J. J. Coulbeck, of Messrs. Coulbeck and Palmer, be appointed trustee under a deed of assignment, and in the event of the creditors falling in with the arrangement the estate be wound up under the deed. A committee of inspection was selected, consisting of Mr. Moore, Mr. J. Walker (Rushden), and Mr. Wilkins (Messrs. Victor Smith and Co., timber merchants, Nottingham.) The statement of affairs submitted showed unsecured liabilities amounting to £1,122 0s 7d; the assets included stock-in-trade £87 19s book debts £10 8s 7d estimated balance from contracts £370, and household furniture £8 the deficiency being £648 19s.
