Charles Meller
Charles Meller, born Upperthorne YKS, with his wife Fanny born Leominster HEF, came
to Rushden when Charles was manager of a music shop, 'Whitings', at 16 High Street.
They lived at 32 Griffith Street. Fanny died in 1924 aged 70, and Charles continued
here until about 1939.

No 32 is above the footpath from the church and has two large bay windows, No 30 adjoining and then the Working Men's Club.

A 1918 advert tells us that Mr Meller, piano tuner and lived at 'Hadyn House' in Grffith Street. Kelly's directory tells us he lived at No 32, but no visible plaque appears on the frontage.
