County Court Tuesday May 26th.

Lenton v Pigott: This was an action by the plaintiff, a corn dealer, at Rushden, to recover the sum of £14 12s 1d. for an ordinary trade account from the defendant. The correctness of the plaintiff’s bill was not disputed by the defendant, but he relied on a claim for £9 18s. by way of set-off, which arose under the following circumstances: On the 11th May, 1873, Henry Lenton, of Rushden, deceased, the uncle of the present plaintiff, made his will whereby he appointed two persons, named Sargent and Foskett, …. The testator died on 3rd of June following …. The will has never been proved…..
