The liabilities estimate to rank for dividend are £953 14s. 7d., and the total net assets are £128 19s. 8d., leaving a deficiency of £824 14s. 11d.

The debtor commenced business as a chemist in Bridge-street, Thrapston, about five years ago, with a borrowed capital of £25. After three years he gave up the business and took over the business of Mr Wallis Wilkerson at Rushden, agreeing to pay £500 for the goodwill, stock-in-trade, fixtures, etc. £200 was paid at the time, but none since. He also took over Wilkerson’s china business, on which he still owes £257. Nine months ago he offered his creditors 20s in the £ at three, six, nine, and twelve months. In most cases two of these instalments have been paid. The debtor admits that he has known that he had not sufficient to pay all his debts in full “for the last three years.”
