William Desborough's rent book

William Desborough's shop was at 38 High Street. This little rent book, a small cash book with plain black cover, records rents collected between 1894 and 1906.
William was renting out properties at 40 High Street, space on the gable end of one shop for the Bill Posting Company, and for 12 & 14 Rectory Road. The first entries have just a few weeks collections, but no names or addresses. [not copied]

Did William buy a new book, or is that when he sold these properties before he moved to 'Chesterfield' on the Court Estate? In the bungalow there, he opened a shop in the front hall. [after 1911 before 1927 - nothing has been found to confirm the final dates.]
