Betty
Betty - Hair Stylist

"Betty" had started her business at 16 High Street South, between the Hall Park gates and the garage of George Robinson.

The shop had been built in the 1930s after the old Coach and Horses Inn was demolished.

The advert (right) is from the 1958 Trade Show and Carnival. The photograph was taken by local photographer, A J George.

"Betty" also advertised in the 1961 Carnival programme, and continued into the 1970s.
