The premises were occupied prior to Taylor Griffin (pre 1984) by Danwood Office Supplies, and before then, they were used as a restaurant.
Before the precinct offices were built in the 1960’s, there were some lovely old cottages and a blacksmith [Jimmy Guinee] worked across the road. That is, now with nostalgic hindsight, we think the cottages were lovely. But at the time they were looked upon as having no useful purpose and replaced with a serviceable precinct of commercial premises.
