Rushden Guard Honoured
A Veteran Worker Among The Young
Presentation of Portrait of Mr. A. Gadsby
For over 30 years Mr. Abraham Gadsby, who is one of the representatives of Rushden on the Wellingborough Board of Guardians, has been associated with the Park-road Wesleyan Sunday School at Rushden as a superintendent. Mr. W. E. Capon conceived the happy idea of presenting the school with an enlarged photograph of Mr. Gadsby, the work of Mr. Edgar Linnitt, and suitably framed, and advantage was taken of the annual Sunday school teachers' meeting on Saturday to formally unveil the portrait. Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Cunnington entertained the teachers to tea, and were cordially thanked on the proposition of Mr. A. Sanders, seconded by Miss F. Partridge. [part of a long article]
