St Peter’s Church held a three day bazaar on Wednesday 25th, Thursday 26th, and Saturday 28th in April 1928.
It was opened by the Marchioness of Exeter, Mrs Blagden and A H Sartoris Esq.
Home-made toffee was sold, and there were stalls for dolls, badges, flowers, with several side shows.
The vicarage building fund was increased by £350 as a result.

This came with the caption "Church Pantomime" c1921
