SA give old folks a lunch
Rushden Salvation Army this week provided Christmas lunches for pensioners in Rushden who receive "Meals on Wheels" from the Rushden WRVS.
The money to pay for the lunch was raised by the Rushden Salvation Army Band, which made a collection as it played carols in the town recently.
The Christmas meal consisted of roast turkey, chipolata sausages, stuffing, roast and creamed potatoes, brussels and peas, Christmas pudding, brandy sauce, mince-pies, and a packet of sweets.
Altogether about a hundred received the meal, which was delivered by the WRVS
