Sunday School scholars raise funds

Youngsters help out clinic

Waiting to see the doctor is a game for young patients at Rushden Memorial Clinic—thanks to Baptist Sunday school scholars.

Children from Rushden Highfield Baptist Church have raised nearly £25 for the clinic by the sale of their old toys, after a special Sunday school toy service, and the money has been used to buy new play equipment for child out-patients.

Eleven year old Anne Neal and Karen Matthews (9) visited the clinic to hand over dolls prams, teddy bears and books for the children's waiting room.

With them were Sunday school secretary Mrs. Stella Godfrey and the minister, the Rev. John Weaver.
