William and Mary Robinson lived at Dean for a few years after their marriage, but soon moved to Yelden in about 1899, where William worked as a groom. Their daughter Gladys was born in 1900, and they already had two young sons, Reginald and Albert.
Gladys was presented with a bible at Yelden Sunday School in 1915, inscribed (right) by the Rector.
Gladys was engaged to John Rogers, but sadly he was killed in the war, as was her brother Albert Robinson.
