Miss Mary Clark, of Yelden, whose death occurred on February 3, was one of the oldest ladies in the village, being in her 81st year. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Clark, of Yelden, the family laving a reputation for pillow-lace making. Until recent years she regularly attended the Church. There are two sisters, Mrs. Herbert Charles (with whom she lived at Yelden) and Mrs. W. Charles, of Rushden.
The funeral took place at Yelden Church on Tuesday, and the mourners were Mrs. H. Charles, Yelden (sister), Mr. Horace Charles, Rushden (nephew), Mrs. W. Hill. Leicester (niece), Mr. H. Charles, Yelden (brother-in-law), Mrs. L. Holloway (niece), Mrs. H. Charles, Rushden Mrs. White, Rushden, and Mrs. W. Holloway, Yelden (friends). Mrs. W. Charles, of Rushden (sister) was unable to attend.
