| Samuel Hodgskins was born at Yelden in 1769, and married Sarah (nee Biddles) there in 1803. They had five sons and three daughters at Yelden.
Theire second son William Hodgskins was born in 1810. William married Mary Manning in 1829 at Woodford. They had eight sons (one of whom died) and two daughters.
William and Mary's first born was Jonathan Hodgskins, born in 1830 at Yelden. Jonathan emigrated to Australia and there he married Elizabeth Thompson in 1854 at St Mary's in Adelaide, South Australia. He died at Norwood in October 1893.
