William Freeman's Removal to Yelden &
John Chamberlain's Removal from Yelden

Solicitors Charges to Rushden Parish Officers

The Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor would instruct a solicitor to
act on their behalf at the Magistrates Court or the Quarter Sessions Court.
This Account shows the lengths to which the parish would go in order to remove paupers
sometimes paying more to the solicitor than the pauper might have had in relief.
