Henry Quenby – will 1714

In the name of God amen I Henry Quenby of Wymmington in the County of Bedford Blacksmith being infirm in body but of perfect and disposing mind do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. First of all I recommend my Soul into the Hands of God that gave it. My body I commit to the earth to be decently and Christianly buried at the care and charge of my Executor hereafter named and my worldly Estate I dispose of as followeth I give to each of my children one shilling apiece all the rest of my Goods Chattels and personal Estate of what name and denomination soever I give and bequeath unto my Loving Wife Hannah Quenby and I do appoint her my said Loving Wife Hannah Quenby to be the sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament. In Winess whereof I have set to my hand and Seal this Thirtieth Day of November in the year of our Lord one Thousand seaven hundred and ffourteen. Henry Quenby Signed Sealed published and declared to be my last Will and Testament in the presence of Richard Newcome Alice Newcome Ann Newcome etc.
