In the name of god Amen I Henry Maxey of Knottinge in the County of Bedford doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme following
Imprimis I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my Creator Redemer and Sanctifier and my body to be buried in the Church Yard in Knottinge
Item I give to Elizabeth my wyff on cubbord on standinge Bedd and all Belonging to yt on little table tow coffers too kettles on brass pott and all the rest of the household stuffe which she brought also I give unto hir the brynled heffer
Item I give unto my Sonne Rychard Maxey foure pounds
Item I give to my sonne Robart Maxey fifty shillings and all my Apparell good and badd
Item I give to my daughter Elizabeth Browne fourty shillings
Item I give my sonne John Maxey tenne shillings
Item I will that these my gifts shalbe performed within the space of too years immediately after my discease
Item to fulfil these payments I make my sonne Thomas Maxey my sole and full executor of this my Last will and testament to who I give all my goods moveable and immoveable unbequeathed
Item I will that Mr [Steven] parson be overseer that this my will fulfilled I give unto hym xij d.
