In the name of god Amen This sixteenth day of August in the yeare of our lord god 1614 and in the twelf yeare of our soveraigne lord James by the grace of god, king of England France and Ireland And of Scotland the eight & fortie defender of the faith &c I Edward Drable of Wymmington in the county of Beddford Laborer being at this present sick & weak of body but of perfect mind & remembrance thanks be given to god, doe make this my last will & testament in manner and forme following That is to say First & before all other thinges I commend my soule into the hands of god the Father almighty who hath made me & all the world & his sonne Jesus Christ my saviour who hath redeemed me & the blessed spirit who hath sanctified me And my body to be buryed in the churchyard of Wimington aforesaid
Item I doe give unto Elizabeth my loveing wife one moiety of all that house hold stuff which I doe now possesse & have in my house & goods which I else where enjoy excepting these particulars following; viz
I give and bequeath unto my sonne Edward Drable six pence
Item I do give and bequeath unto my sonne Thomas Drable six pence
Item I give unto my daughter Margret Dearman twelve pence and to Frances Derman her sonne & Catherine Derman her daughter six pence apeece
Item I do give & bequeath unto my daughter Catherine Godsale six pence
Item I give unto Agnes Drable my daughter half my household stuff equally to be devided with the said Elizabeth Drable my wife, And further I do give unto my said daughter Agnes forty shillings & unto that purpose I do ordeyne that my sonne George Drable shall pay this said forty shillings And also other forty shillings unto Elizabeth my wife these which bequeaths and guifts of mony the aforesaid George shall pay them upon the feast of the Annunciation of the blessed Virgin Mary next ensuing after the day of the date hereof, And yf my said sonne George shall refuse to undertake to performe this legacy in manner & forme as is sett downe being demanded of yt before sufficient wittnes within seven days after my departure out of this naturall life that then yt shall & may be lawfull for my said wife Elizabeth Drable to sell two cowes which I do now possess and enjoy & to make payment accordingly
Item I do give and bequeath unto my sonne George Drable the two calves which do now hang on or goe with the kyne in the pastures at this present
Item I doe give unto him one Cubberd standing in the hall which he ys to have at the tyme of the death of Elizabeth my loving wife And for the full performance of these things I do make my said wife & my sonne George my full executors
