John Church – will

In The Name of God Amen I John Church of Wymington
in the County of Bedford Yeoman being (Thanks be to God) of
sound and disposing minde and understanding doe make this my
last will and Testament in manner and forme following First I
com[m]end my soule into the hands of God Almighty my Creator and
Redeemer and my body to Christian buriall And my wordly estate I
dispose of as followes First I will and devise to my eldest son
John All yt my own dwelling house wherein I now now dwell …….
………..the homested all outhouses yards orchards gardens lofts ?crofts
and other appurtenances therunto belonging situate lying and being in Wymington
aforesayd And all other my arrable Lands ?Leys grounds meadowes and pastures
grounds Tenem(en)ts & hereditm(en)ts whatsoever in Wymington aforesayd ?copy
hold to him and his heires for ever And whereas I have ?rec…….. &
had deposited in my hands Fifty pounds of lawfull english money being …….
Legacy given to my twoe daughters Jane & Elizabeth in & by the last will …..
Elizabeth Walker late of Thingdon with in the County of Northton Widd ?their
Grandmother dec(ease)d my minde is the sayd Fifty pounds shall be payd & ?mayd
Goode to my sayd Daughters out of my p[er]sonall estate without d…. And
my will is I hereby bequeath unto my youngest sonn Edward Church ?One
parts in three parts to be devided of all my Cattles stockes & moneys …
of all other my goods moveables & Chattells whatsoever ?excepted
household goods household stuffe & implem(en)ts of household And th[e]other therd
of all such my Cattle stock moneys goods moveables & Chattels I g(ive) …
my sayd twoe daughters Jane & Elizabeth equally betwixt them Also
to my sayd daughters equally to be devided All & ?singular my houshold ….
houshold stuffe and implements of household (Except two large drawing ……..
in my parlour wch I give to my sayd son John as A standard to my house ……..
I make and ordain Executors of this my Will my trusty and loving brothers in law
Robt Walker and Valentine Makernesse both of Thingdon aforesayd To whom I give
Forty shillings a piece in part of Requitall for the trouble they may have in
executing the sayd affairs of my Executors they paying my debts & funeral charges
& disposing my Legacies according to my directions above In Witness whereof I have
hereunto sett my hand & seale the Nyneteenth day of M(arch in the)
yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred eighty three
