Anne Blofield – will
widow of Easton Maudit

The 8th of July 1615 I Anne Blofeild of Easton Mawdit widow sick of body but of good and perfect memory make and ordain this my last will and testament. First I commend my soul to God etc. My will is that Robert Orlibeare, George Orlibeare and John Orlibeare my three sons shall take my rents and profits with all my bills, bonds and other specialities whereupon any money is due and likewise all such money as at my death shall be found to be mine and be my sole executors and pay my debts etc.

I give to my mother Margery Dillye of Harrold widow twenty shillings. Also unto my brother Thomas Dillye his wife five shillings. I give to Robert Orlibeare abovenamed and my eldest son a hundred and ten pounds and also I give unto him the said Robert my waynscott bedstead with my featherbed bolster, hilling and blankets thereunto belonging. I give to the above named George Orlibeare my second son the sum of one hundred and ten pounds. I give to the above named Richard Orlibeare my youngest son the sum of one hundred and ten pounds. All such money as remains that be equally divided among my three sons.

To avoid contention between my sons I name those men from whom my sons will receive their legacies. My will is that the abovesaid John Orlibeare shall have for payment one hundred and ten pounds which Frauncis Downing of Yardley Hasting doth now owe me upon his bond. And George Orlibeare shall have for payment the one hundred and ten pounds which his master Sir Henry Yelverton knight doth put forth to interest for me. My eldest son Robert shall have for payment of his legacy all other my bills and bonds. And further my natural affection unto my children is such that all other goods shall be equally parted among those my three sons. Witnesses, the mark of Amye Blofeild, Thomas Francklin, the mark of Richard Love.

This will was proved 23rd May 1622
