Thomas MAHEW the parish Register for the parish of Hargrave was chosen by the inhabitants November the 23th 1653 according to the Act of parliament touching marriages &c And was sworne and approved by me. Tho. BLETSO

Following the 1683 events:-
I Thomas THOROWGOOD Rector of Hargrave was presented to the said Rectory of Hargrave by Mrs. Elizabeth BARKER Patronesse pleno jure of the Advowson of Hargrave aforesaid upon the first of March being Shrove Sunday and was instituted to the said Living on the twenty eight day of March in ye same month and year 1674.
I read the declaration of my Subscription Aprill 5th following the Booke of Articles the 12th of ye same Aprill and was inducted Aprill 16 the same month of ye same year. 1674.
Then was Reynold ALLEN and Phillip CANNARD Churchwardens into whose Hands upon the decease of Mr CATELIN the Living well and truly sequestred.
