Rice - Palmer

Pretty Wedding—A charming wedding was solemnised at Wollaston Church on Saturday morning, the Vicar, the Rev. G. Thompson, officiating. The bride was Miss Barbara Palmer daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Palmer, of Holyoake-road, Wollaston, and the groom Mr. George Rice, second son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Rice, of Hinwick-road, Wollaston. The bride was dressed in pale blue marocain with veil to match, and carried a bouquet of Madonna lilies. She was given away by her brother, Mr. A. E. Palmer. Miss Freda Ette, cousin of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, wearing a dress of blue floral georgette with hat to match, and carrying a bouquet of roses. Mr. P. Rice (brother of groom) was best man.

A reception was given at the bride's home, and the couple left for a honeymoon at Bournemouth. On their return they will reside at Rushden. The bride has been a Sunday School teacher, and among the many presents was a silver cake basket from the superintendent and teachers of the schools.
