Edward Brown Randall

Extract from Northamptonshire Contemporary Biographies, by W T Pike, 1908

Edward Brown Randall, J.P., Lymington House, Higham Ferrers; son of the late Thomas Randall, of Higham Ferrers; born at Higham Ferrers, February 3rd, 1845; educated at Wakefield Grammar School, and at Higham Ferrers. Mayor of Higham Ferrers (four times), and member of the Corporation for many years; Trustee of Newman's, Dewsberry's, Latham's, Freeman Watson, and Wagstaff's Charities; Justice of the Peace for the county of Northants; was for many years a member of the Wentworth Lodge of Freemasons (No. 737); Churchwarden for over thirty years; formerly member of the Duke of Manchester's 1st Huntingdonshire Volunteers.
Married Elizabeth, eldest daughter of the late Alderman James Spong, of Higham Ferrers, and has issue two daughters. Club: Northamptonshire County.
