John Pearson
Joined the Raunds March of 1905
John Pearson joined the Raunds March in 1905. He was from Ringstead and walked to London on his crutches - he is to the right of the bicycle at the far left in the picture below. He was aged 31, and working at home as a shoemaker, living in Peare's Yard with his mother Gomer and step father, Thomas Major. His father William Page Pearson died, aged just 28 in 1875, when John was a young boy.
