Rushden Echo, 27th April 1923, transcribed by Kay Collins
Mrs. H. Liggins

The Valued Work of Mrs. H. Liggins, of Spencer Parade, who has for many years rendered invaluable assistance whenever an accident occurred, has been acknowledged in a pleasing fashion. It would be no exaggeration to say that many pounds have thereby been saved, and, even more important, much pain and serious illness have been avoided by her kind ministrations. In appreciation of her work a few grateful villagers raised a collection, and as a result a handsome suede purse containing £11 10s. in notes has been presented to her. It is to be hoped that she will long be spared to carry on her unselfish labours.
