Golden Wedding of Worthy Raunds Couple

Mr. and Mrs. J. Jeffkins of 27, Thorpe Street, Raunds, celebrated their golden wedding on Wednesday November 23^rd, having been married at the Parish church, by the Rev. Charles Porter, on November 23^rd 1871. Mr. Jeffkins is a native of Raunds, and is now 77 years of age. Mrs. Jeffkins came from a small village in Bedfordshire 54 years ago. The old couple have lived in their present home for half a century, and although Mr. Jeffkins has been unable to work for eleven years, they are both in fairly good health.
