NINETY—Mrs. E. Gooding of 25, High-street, celebrated her 90th birthday on VE Day and is Podington's oldest inhabitant. She is cared for by her daughter, Mrs. A. Hall.
A small tea-party was given in honour of the event and friends and relatives were invited. A small iced cake was provided Mrs. Gooding is a native of Harrold. see also Lacemakers
