Guardians Oath:
We whose names are under-written, the lawful Guardians of Elizabeth Day of Wimmington in the County of Bedford, a minor do hereby certify [to] those whom it may concern that we do give our free Leave and Consent that the said Elizabeth Day shall marry with Thomas Church of the said Parish a Batchelor.

In witness whereof we have set out hand the Eighteenth day of November 1772

William Sanders
George Spencer

And the Marriage Bond:[truncated]
Know all Men by these presents that We Thomas Church of Wimmington in the County of Bedford Farmer and Thomas Law of the said Parish Weaver

Are held firmly bound to Hadley Cox A.M. Official of the archdeaconry of Bedford .......

In One Hundred Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain.........

Dated the eighteenth day of November 1772

The condition of this obligation................

The above bounden Thomas Cox a Batchelor aged 22 years and Elizabeth Day a Minor with consent of William Sanders and George Spencer, her lawful Guardians, may lawfully solemnize Marriage together ................

And the Marriage Licence:
On which Day appeared Personally Thomas Church of the Parish of Wimmington in the county of Bedford and Diocese of Lincoln and being Sworn on the Holy Evangelists, Alledged and made Oath as follows: That he is of the Age twenty two years & upwards And intends to Marry with Elizabeth Day a Minor of the parish aforesaid with the consent of her Guardians William Sanders and George Spencer, as appears by the Hand Writing of the said William Sanders and George Spencer, and the Oath of Thomas Law who saw them set their hands to the annexed Paper.........
