Podington
Mr William Charles Boddington, who has been postman for Podington, Hinwick and Farndish for the last 26 years, has just retired. His many friends, in appreciation of his zealous attention to duty and courteous conduct at all times, have contributed to a gift of £9, which he has very gratefully acknowledged. He intends to buy a pair of armchairs, which he can keep in remembrance of all his old friends and acquaintances. He will carry with him the good wishes of all in his well-earned retirement.
