Mr. John Anderson
Working at 80

One of the Old Hand Sewn Brigade

John Anderson
Mr. John Anderson, of Wollaston, one of the old hand sewn brigade, now in his 80th year, but is still working regularly. Mr. Anderson served for six years as a Liberal working man, on the old School Board (under the chairmanship of the late Mr. A. Keep). He joined the Wollaston Band of Hope in 1857, a step, he says he never regretted. He is the oldest living boy of the Baptist Sunday School, and a regular attendant at that place of worship. For the last six years he has worked for the Misses Keep, as an odd job man, although he states that he still feels like a boy.
