| Alderman John Adams, J.P., and Mrs Adams of “Darsdale,” in celebration of the marriage of their only son, Mr John William Adams, to Miss Phyllis Mary Ellwood, daughter of Mr and Mrs James Ellwood of “Willoughby,” Bournemouth, which took place at Bournemouth Wesleyan Church on July 6th, entertained the employees of Messrs Adams Bros. Ltd., boot manufacturers, to a dinner in the grounds of “Darsdale” last Friday evening. The guests also included Mr and Mrs W and Master David Adams, Mr and Mrs F and Miss Joan and Miss Ruth Adams (Stanwick), Mrs A Miles, Mr and Mrs Arthur Miles, Mr W F Corby, C.C., and Mrs Corby (Raunds), Mr and Mrs R O Neal (Raunds), Mrs Starkey and the Misses Starkey (Bournemouth). Sports, games and dancing took place, and the proceedings were of a very happy character. |
