Mr. J. H. Abbott
30 Years a Bandsman
Recognition of Wollaston Musician’s Fine Record

After the practice at Wollaston on Thursday evening of the Town Band at the Bell Inn, a pleasing presentation took place.

Mr. J. H. Abbott, who is shortly leaving the band, was presented with a handsome gold medal, suitably inscribed. Mr. R. J. Green appropriately made the presentation, special reference being made to Mr. Abbott’s 30 years’ work as a bandsman in the district. Pleasing reference was also made by Messrs. W. Brawn (conductor), J. A. Kilsby, A. Holloway and T. Rose. Mr. Abbott feelingly replied.
