Killed in Action—Sgt. Arthur York, Middlesex Rgt., eldest son of Mr Alfred York, Wellingborough-road, Irchester, was killed in France on Nov. 24th. After recovering from a serious wound, he had only been back in France about a month. He had gained rapid promotion by good work on active service. Before enlisting he was a carrier, and his death is much deplored by the people both of Irchester and Little Irchester.
