The caption reads:

Private Percy Charles Wrighting M.G.C.
aged 25, of Rushden, who died
of wounds in France on Sept. 21st.

How lonely the grave where our dear one is laid,
But sweet is his memory, which never can fade,
And sweet is the thought that again we shall meet
Kneeling together at Jesu's feet.

But the hardest part is yet to come
When the heroes all reach home,
And we miss among the cheering throng
The face of our dear one.

Forget him? No, we never will,
We loved him then, we love him still;
His memory is as fresh to-day
As in the hour he passed away.
