Irchester Soldier Killed - Three Casualties by One Shell

We regret to report that Mrs J Lawton of East View, Farndish Road, Irchester, has received unofficial news of the death in action of her brother, Pte W White, of the Essex Regiment. The sad news was sent by Pte Harry Hinson, of Chelveston, in a letter to his wife, and who, as reported elsewhere in this issue, is wounded and in hospital in France. The same shell which wounded Pte Hinson caused the death of Pte White and another soldier.
