Mrs. Walter Hales, of Wellington-road, Raunds, has received the sad news that her son, Pte. Fred White, 4th King’s Liverpool Regt., has died in France from pneumonia. She received a wire on Tuesday last saying that he was dangerously ill in 40 Stationary Hospital, Harfleur, France. Two letters followed saying that he was no better, and that he was taken with influenza and pneumonia. Later another wire was received saying that he died on Feb 15th. He joined up in January 1917, and went to France in the following September. He was home on leave two months ago.
