Mr John D Ward

The Death of Mr John D Ward, aged 72, a highly respected inhabitant of Irchester, took place on Tuesday, after a short illness, from bronchitis. Mr Ward was out a few days ago, and his death came as quite a shock.

The deceased was postmaster of Irchester for 20 years, and was organist at the Parish Church for 40 years, relinquishing the duties two years ago on account of failing health. He had been parish clerk since his father’s death. Much sympathy is felt for his widow.
