SUDDEN DEATH OF A CHILD—On Tuesday, Mr. W Terry, coroner, held an inquest at the Lion Inn, on the body of Mary Ellen Timson, aged two years and a half, who died suddenly on the previous Saturday.—Mary Line, wife of Wm. Line, labourer, Bozeat, mother of the deceased by a former marriage, stated that the child had always been rather delicate, and in the previous week it was attacked with cold and sneezing, appearing very stuffed at the chest. On Saturday they thought the child in no danger. She died soon after noon.

Mr. J. W. Orr, surgeon, Wollaston, said he had examined the child externally, and there were no marks of violence and nothing to create any suspicion of ill-treatment. In his opinion the child died from bronchitis.—A neighbour named Drage having given evidence a verdict of "Death from natural causes" was returned.
