Born at Odell. He left a widow Edith Ellen and three daughters Edna, Gladys and Beatrice. His wife was living in Podington at the time of his death.
Killed in Action - HM Agamemnon II was clearing mines east of the Shipwash Lightship, in the North Sea near Harwich. A mine was apparently foul of the sweep and fouled the ship where it exploded.
