An Instantaneous Death- Irchester Soldier Shot

Pte. Walter Stevenson, of the Duke of Wellington West Riding Regt., son of Mr. and Mrs. George Stevenson, of Wollaston Road, Irchester, was killed instantly on November 1^st by a machine gun bullet in the head. He joined the Army in January 1918, had been in France for some months and was 19 years old. Deceased was formerly employed as a clicker by Mr. Marlow of Rushden.
