Three Raunds Men Killed
Corpl. E. Stringer, Pte. S. Allen and Pte. J. Spicer
Pte. Jack Spicer, M.G.C., second son of Mr and Mrs E Spicer, Brook-street, Raunds, has been killed in France. The news was sent by the captain under whom he was serving, expressing his sympathy and that of the men serving with him in their great loss. Pte. Spicer enlisted last November, and was home on leave seven weeks ago, going to France the following week. He was 19 years of age, and was formerly employed by Mr W Lawrence, boot manufacturer.
