Higham Ferrers FUNERAL—On Tuesday evening a large number of the parishioners assembled at the Parish Church, to witness the funeral ceremony over the body of Miss Charlotte Spencer, who died on the previous Sunday. The choir and scholars of her Sunday School Class sang the hymn "Brief life is here our portion" and as the procession was leaving the church Miss A. Marriott played the "Dead March ' on the organ. The deceased was much respected by a large circle of friends.
