| OBITUARY—We regret to record the death of another of the oldest inhabitants of the town in the person of Mrs. Sarah Smith, the widow of the late Mr. Wm. Smith, of Raunds (the founder of the firm of Messrs. Smith and Son), which took place on Thursday, October 2nd, at her residence in Grove-street. Mrs. Smith was the respected mother of Mrs. Geo. Lee and Mr. Enos Smith.—The funeral took place on Tuesday, when the remains of the deceased lady were interred in the Wesleyan Chapel burial ground, with the usual ceremonial solemnities in the presence of the relatives arid friends and a large number of people. |
