Sudden Death at Wollaston - Shoe Manufacturer Passes Away

The death occurred suddenly on Sunday night of Mr William Alfred Shelton, aged 54, shoe manufacturer, of Wollaston.

Mr Shelton had been unwell for a few days, but as it was thought he was suffering from nothing more serious than a cold, he had not consulted a doctor. He retired to bed about 10p.m. on Sunday, and on reaching his bedroom fell on the bed and expired immediately.

Mr Shelton was the youngest son of the late Mr William Shelton, shoe manufacturer, Wollaston. He married Miss Lucy, daughter of Mr Hugh Lucy, and there are no children. He has a brother, Mr G A L Shelton, of Wollaston, and a sister, Mrs Attley, of Leicester.
