Little Irchester Soldier’s Death in France
Mr. and Mrs. F. Sharp, of 12 Newtown-road, Little Irchester, have received the sad intelligence that their second son, Pte. Frederick John Sharp, of the 2nd Suffolks, died on January 22nd from pulmonary tuberculosis and was buried in a special plot for the British at Sudfried-hof Cemetery, Cologne. He was 30 years of age, and previous to enlisting he was employed by Messrs. Nicholson, Son, and Daniels. Deceased had been in the Army for about three years. He had been wounded twice and gassed. Mr. and Mrs. Sharp have three other sons in the Army, one in France, and the others are now back in England after being prisoners of war.
