The funeral of the late Mrs. Deborah Sargent (widow of the late Mr. John Sargent, who died five years ago) took place on Friday, a service being conducted in St. Mary’s Church, and the interment being at the cemetery. The Rev. G E Stevenson officiated. Deceased, a native of Higham Ferrers, had lived in the town all her life, partly with her daughter Mrs. Blackwell and latterly in an almshouse.

Mr. Fred Parker carried out the funeral arrangements. Mr. and Mrs. Blackwell wish to thank all kind friends for their expressions of sympathy with them in their great bereavement.
