Man dies while shopping
Mr. William Sanders collapsed and died at lunch-time on Saturday [October 29th] while shopping at the Higham Ferrers Co-operative Society. Mr. Sanders, who had lived in Higham ferrers all his life, had not been in good health for some time. He was 77.

Mr. Sanders, who lived at 14 Milton Street, formerly worked for the boot and shoe manufacturers, John White Ltd. as a pressman.

He was in the army in the First World War and saw service in France. He was also a prominent Bedesman.

Mr. Sanders leaves a widow, his second wife, Mrs. Rose Sanders, and also three children.

Funeral arrangements have yet to be made.
