Irchester Soldier Killed - Former Rushden Employee’s Sad Death
Pte. Arthur Robinson, 202260 Yorkshire Regiment, son of Mr Uriah Robinson, Sharwood’s-terrace, Irchester, was killed instantaneously on September 19th on the Menin road, France. Pte. A Robinson was only 19 years of age, and originally belonged to the Northants Territorials, having joined up when only 17 years of age. Before joining the Army he was employed by Messrs Jaques and Clark, boot manufacturers, Rushden.

Wounded—Pte. Arthur Robinson, Yorks. Regt., aged 19, son of Mr Uriah Robinson, Sharwood’s-terrace, Irchester, reported to have been killed on the Menin-road, France, is now reported to have been wounded on Sept. 20th and in hospital. He formerly worked for Messrs Jaques and Clark, Rushden.
