Passing of Mr Jacob Quincey

Bedesman’s Death

The funeral took place on Wednesday, of Mr. Jacob Quincey, of 114 High-street, Higham Ferrers. A service was held at the house, and was followed by the interment at the cemetery, the Rev. F. G. Gray officiating. Mr. Quincey passed away on Sunday, after six weeks’ illness. He was 86 years of age, and had been a Bedesman for a number of years. A widow and three sons are left, two being abroad.

The family mourners at the funeral were: Mrs. Quincey and Mr. E. Quincey (widow and son), Mrs. Quincey and Mr. E. Quincey (daughter-in-law and grandson), Miss Olive Quincey and Miss Doris Quincey (grandchildren), Mr. D. Quincey and Mrs, Rippon (grandson and niece), Mrs. Gilks and Lottie (nieces), Mrs. G. Quincey and Mr. Middleton (niece and friend), Mr. and Mrs. Bosworth (friends), Mrs. Mayes and Mrs. Pashler (friends).
